Our classroom is called Meadow and one of the creatures that live in a meadow is the cricket. Our class name is appropriate because we think that our children have some similar characteristics to crickets. Firstly, crickets come in 900 different shapes, sizes and colour and our class is also very varied. Not only that but crickets are very helpful as they eat many other insects that try to damage the farmers’ crops. In the same way, the children in Cricket’s class are learning how to be helpful and kind to their friends, family, class mates and the adults in school. Finally, in Asia, crickets are thought to bring luck and in a similar way, we believe our Crickets are working to make Kings Meadow School even better than it is.
