Stream Class

TurtlebirdsWe have merged Ladybirds and Turtle class to create TURTLEBIRDS! Our class is a Nurture class and we are lucky to have the use of two rooms.

Stream class is where we all get together as a team to eat breakfast, snack and talk about our day. We complete individual and whole class learning here.

Meadow class is our second room where we use continuous curriculum and play to enhance our learning and our skills (it’s lots of fun!)

We think it is really important to have fun whilst we learn!

We focus on building relationships and addressing children's needs by providing fun, engaging activities based upon their ability and interests.

We spend lots of time outside exploring our environment and love to be moving around observing our surroundings and the natural world.

Circle time is an important part of our day where we enjoy playing games, taking turns and practice our communication skills.

We like to learn by moving and being active, we enjoy using our imaginations

We enjoy being creative and often use natural materials to create our amazing crafts!

We have our own desks to allow us to have space and time away, we also like to invite our friends and adults to play with us here.

We all have sensory boxes filled with toys and fidgets for us to use to help us explore our feelings and have fun.

We love sharing our proud moments by moving up our rainbow wall and sharing our amazing work with Mrs. Mc Cormack for the gold book, we also enjoy receiving certificates in celebration assembly at the end of each week.

Our School provides education and security for children with considerable social, emotional and behavioural needs, with many also having mental health issues. Our very positive approaches from our staff mean that pupils’ trust begins to grow over time. Pupils’ sense of self-worth is nurtured carefully and as they stay in the school longer they learn to, for example, take turns, to accept and then welcome praise, and to persevere.

Paper Copies

We recognise that not all parents and carers will always be able to download our Policies and Reports which are valuable in terms of understanding how we provide support for children. In this instance, if you would like a paper copy of any of the information on our school website, please call the school office on 01604 673730.
