All of our pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan identifying social, emotional and mental health difficulties and other associated complex needs. Some of our pupils are diagnosed with specific difficulties.
Our pupils have previously found school a challenge and have had difficulty accessing learning. At Kings Meadow we endeavour to create a climate which has a positive effect on pupils’ learning and behaviour. We aim to help our pupils develop emotional regulation skills so that they can improve their readiness to learn. We do this by helping them to understand their feelings and learning alternative ways to respond to difficult situations.
